Team Ico's creative director Fumito Ueda has said he'd like to make some markedly different games from the studio's existing works, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and the upcoming Last Guardian.
Speaking to Edge about his development ambitions, Ueda said: "If I get the chance, there are things that I'd like to make or challenge myself with, yes.
"For instance, I'd like to make 2D games. Right now, that's what I'd like to do - it may change tomorrow. Oh, and an FPS. Yes, I'd like to make an FPS. I play quite a lot of FPS games in my free time."
Ueda also told the mag the fact that Ico and SOTC didn't sell well is because they weren't good enough.
Stunning new gameplay footage of The Last Guardian hit the net last week as part of a video interview with Ueda.
