Eight minutes of Star Wars: The Old Republic

A good slice of gameplay footage to ponder over

Here's a nice eight-minute chunk of gameplay footage of Star Wars: The Old Republic taken via shaky cam methods at last weekend's PAX show.

BioWare last week launched a pre-launch guild program for Star Wars: The Old Republic. The studio said many members of the community have already been organising guilds on the forums, and so it wanted to provide the tools to officially register and reserve guild names.

When The Old Republic launches, you'll be able to import your guild directly into the game, subject to availability and meeting certain criteria.

Despite the rough and ready filming below, you can see it's already looking fantastic.

My anticipation for this game is at notch 8*

*Note: Notches go all the way up to 11 and notch calculations are updated daily.

This is why I abandoned PC gaming for console. Just look at how jerky it is playing with a mouse & keyboard. Give me a joypad any day, and the options I lose from the limited buttons paves way for a much fluid style of play.

To be fair I bet its the first time that the guy had played it. You can tell he was stop/starting as he was looking at what actions he could do, not because of the actual mouse and KB.

Im sorry but a Keyboard & mouse is far more fluid than a 'pad' could ever be. Fact.

I agree, he didn't seem to be using any hot keys at all. With the amount of attacks expecting, without some kind of pause system, (which would be impossible in an MMO) it wouldn't work with a controller. With a little experience, I'm sure you'll find everything will be fine.

Yes, the Maths with CVG, strong it is not. 6 minutes and 46 seconds there is.
