Hmm, I'm actually interested in this, if it's as good as GamesCom, I'd actually go to it.

It might take a year though before all the big companies attend I think

"We promise that this isn't a money spinning venture...." ahhhhh okay, that would be why you had to specifically mention that then....

Ah, cool. I was hoping the UK would get one of these. GAME held a GAMEfest event in Spain last year and they're doing it again this year judging by the countdown on the site.

It looked awesome last year and had a lot of devs and publishers from the industry there, so it would be great if the UK event gets the same treatment.

You have to trade in 2 new releases for your ticket though.

Wow. The only thing is you'll have to pay for a ripped up, screwed up, decked secondhand ticket, and it will cost you more than a new one.

Ticket prices start at £45, or preorder a preowned ticket from £44.

And while you're buying your ticket, do you need a controller? Gold XBL membership? MS points?

thats gonna be abit tricky for you then, considering how the 360 hasn't had any new games in a while.

Hey! I was gonna say that! I would definitely go to this though if looks like it's gonna be any good. My son said he wants to go to a games convention but theres not a great deal to choose from.

And the fanboy comments begin. We got a whole nine posts before the first troll waded in this time. Things are improving. Maybe next week we'll manage ten.

Went to the Eurogamer Expo when it was in Leeds and am hoping it's something like that. Should be cheaper than the Eurogamer one as you won't have to travel to rip off central or London as somepeople may know it.

Wouldnt it be more economical in this day and age, to tattoo a giant D onto his forehead. Instead of wearing his pointy hat :D

    Right.

Every year GAME hold a 3 day conference for all the corperate bigwigs and managers. Publishers attend and show off their upcoming games.

This 'gamefest' sounds to me like a way to generate some cash from the conference by having a couple of days at the end for consumers/customers.

    Thats all it'll be people
