Marvel Vs Capcom 3: Jill/Shuma DLC arrives

Euro release unaffected by delays in Japan

Capcom has launched the Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Jill Valentine and Shuma Gorath DLC packs today as planned.

The release of the packs was uncertain as they were delayed in Japan following the earthquake and tsunami disaster in the region.

"Jill has appeared in many Resident Evil games over the years, but it's her most recent appearance in Resident Evil 5 that defines her as a fighting games character. Which means that she's FAST, and scary, because she's being controlled by the device that Wesker has put in her chest," said Capcom man Leo Tan, otherwise known as 'The Tan Man'. Or something.

Tan goes on to reveal: "A little-known fact about Shuma-Gorath is that for quite a long time, Marvel didn't want Shuma-Gorath in the game at all. We did, though, so the producer fought relentlessly and eventually Marvel conceded that he'd be allowed to appear, but only as DLC and not as part of the main roster."

But you'll have to hand over £4 for EACH of them though, which we reckon is more than slightly steep. Especially considering hackers have found much of Jill's data already contained on the game disc.

£4?? That is an absolute p**s take. I was a bit miffed about this in the first place, as they blatantly could have been on the disk from launch, but I'm not going to lie, I've been counting down the days for this. But £4 per character? You can stick them up your arse.

I only want Jill, but I'd rather not be paying £4 for it. I'll wait until they're maybe on sale.

I got a code for Jill and Shuma Gorath. Jill is easily one of the best a** kickers in the game.

Its not as bad as the Horse Armor DLC for oblivion, but that is still insane.

Just give it a month or 2 and you'll probably get it for £1-2.

As some of the dlc content for these characters isnt on the disk does that mean we need to DL an update just to play against them?

The costume packs update for SSF4 was huge and had to be downloaded if you wanted to play someone using those clothes (if you wanted to see them anyway)
