THQ has announced that new FPS Homefront recorded 375,000 day one sales in the US.
The publisher told Gamasutra that the figure accounts for copies sold to consumers, not shipped to retailers, and that it covers digital, online and physical sales.
"We are delighted with first day sales for Homefront and are already fulfilling re-orders for the game from multiple retailers," said THQ CEO Brian Farrell.
Mixed reviews hit THQ shares when the game released on Tuesday. Some critics took exception to its short single player campaign, although most praised its multiplayer component. We gave it an 8.6 in our own Homefront review.
Developer Kaos Studios also told us that Homefront 2 will have a longer campaign if fans complain this time around.
