Three senior ex-Bizarre Creations employees have formed a new Liverpool-based independent games studio, Hogrocket.
The company, which veers worryingly close to an IP battle with Moonpig.com, is comprised of ex-Bizarre community man Ben Ward, PGR and 007 designer Peter Collier, and Geometry Wars designer and programmer Stephen Cakebread.
The studio says it will be making games for "connected platforms, both mobile and desktop" and its first title is already underway. "We'll spill the beans over the next few weeks," it says.
"Hogrocket is an indie game developer based in North-West England. We make games for multiple platforms and we're currently working on our first," reads the blurb on its official site.
"Soon you'll be able to track our progress and activities over the web. For now though, we'd love it if you signed up to our mailing list, or became a friend/follower on your choice of social network. If you'd like to talk to us directly, send us an e-mail. We'll give you a shout when we get this little piggy airborne..."
The trio are the latest senior ex-Bizarre Creations employees to have their future publicly confirmed. Bizarre sadly shut it doors last month after 17 years making games.
Last month we revealed that Bizarre Creations' ex-design lead has joined UK studio Sumo Digital.
