482 GAME and Gamestation stores are to open their doors for the 3DS midnight launch.
GAME's flagship store in Oxford Street, London will host a special event with comedian and gamer Iain Lee joining customers for the countdown to launch, and the first 100 people in the queue will receive a free 3DS game.
Other freebies and snacks will be distributed throughout the evening, and the person at the head of the queue will also get a free taxi ride home.
The retailer said "this will also happen at the special Nintendo launches" at GAME Glasgow (Sauchiehall Street), GAME Cardiff (St Davids), GAME Manchester (Trafford Centre), Gamestation Birmingham (New Street) and Gamestation Hull (Propsect Centre). We assume it means freebies will be given out at all locations.
Each of the 482 stores will also give away one 3DS in a raffle.
Nintendo said earlier this week that over 1,200 stores are planning to open at midnight on Thursday to sell the console.
