Homefront breaches 1 million sales

Ships 2.4 million globally

THQ's announced that sales of it's US invasion based FPS Homefront have passed one million units.

The publisher has also revealed that 2.4 million copies have been shipped to retailers in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Brian Farrell, THQ president, said: "We are very pleased with strong worldwide shipments and sell-through for Homefront, and we continue to fulfill new retail orders for the game across the globe.

"Homefront is clearly resonating with gamers and we are certainly pleased with our initial sales results."

Homefront has enjoyed something of a successful launch, shooting straight to the top of the UK Charts and selling 375,000 on day one in the US.

THQ hands will have been trembling before the numbers came in after company shares slumped following mixed review scores, at least for a AAA FPS game.
