Crysis 2 PC patch improves multiplayer, removes auto-aim

Plus re-enables console and adds cheat detection

Crytek has released a new patch for the PC version of Crysis 2, and although it's not the login fix we've been waiting for, it's still a pretty significant one.

Among the most important changes is the removal of the auto-aim feature, the introduction of a cheat detection system and the re-activation of the console. The full patch changes list is below.

Crytek last week said it's working on a PC for users experiencing issues with their multiplayer key code. According to a post on EA's official site, some have been getting the message "This key is already is use".

There's still no work on what a fix patch will arrive, but hit the above link for Crytek's suggested workaround.

- Server Browser shows incorrect pings - Fixed
- Some matches never initiate - Fixed
- Faster text chat - As speedy as can be
- Console re-enabled - Console has been re-activated
- Cheat detection - Now in place to ensure all users are on a level playing field
- Fix USB headset issues - Current issues have been addressed and fixed
- Fix hologram icon staying on screen after being used - Fixed
- Remove Auto Aim - This has now been completely removed due to overwhelming community feedback
