Hideo Kojima promoted at Konami

Metal Gear man becomes VP, Corporate Officer

Konami has promoted Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima to the position of vice president, corporate officer.

The developer's new position will take effect on April 1, and comes as part of a round of new appointments at the company.

Konami's current operating officer, Shinji Enomoto, is promoted into the same position as Kojima, as the firm names three new directors: Mineaki Yoshiba, Yasuyuki Yamaji and Kazuyuki Kisohara.

Kojima's last work involving two released console games, Metal Gear: Peace Walker for PSP and Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow for 360 and PS3 - on which he was an executive producer - both won a handsome critical reception.
