People are cheating in Crysis 2 and Crytek isn't happy, but it promises the ban hammer is about to come down hard on those who are exploiting the shooter.
"We do take cheating very seriously here at Crytek," the dev said in a blog post today.
"We are currently taking steps to permanently remove exploits from Crysis 2 and to penalize those individuals that choose to utilize them," it went on to warn.
"We thank you for your patience and want to ensure you that we will continue to work hard to keep the integrity of Crysis 2 intact and cheat-free."
Crytek's has said it will launch a series of updates over the coming week aimed at fixing post-release problems.
Crytek released a patch over the weekend for the PC version. Among the most important changes were the removal of the auto-aim feature and the introduction of a cheat detection system. Get the full patch details here.
