The Battlefield 3 release date may well have just been given away by the EA Download Manager - and if true, we'll be looking at a very possible dust up with Modern Warfare 3.
Activison's yet-to-be announced inevitability annually tends to launch in mid-November.
November 2 is a Wednesday, which would make it at odds with the usual US release date day of Tuesday, whilst major games usually hit Europe on a Friday. For a title as big as Battlefield 3, however, a worldwide 'event' release date would not be too much of a wild surprise.

Sounds about right. Although Novembers going to be a hell of a month for gaming if this is true. This alongside Uncharted 3, Skyrim (think i may be incorrect there, correct me if necessary) the CoD game (which i couldn't care about tbh) and all the games we have yet to hear about... Q4 of this years insane.

i have pre-ordered this in portlaoise gamestop and yeah, its down as sept 9th but i'd say they are going by dodgy info and EA have possibly put it back to go head to head with IW in november. either way i have it paid for iin full when i returned the pile of faeces that was homefront, so no need to save up!

This is a place-holder date. Previous Battlefields have always been delayed, even after an official date has been announced. Battlefield 2 was originally slated for March '05, but was pushed back to June 2005.

Can't wait until this game is released. I hope that it IS in November.. However BF/EA has previously delayed game-launches, and don't be surprised if it happens again.
