Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino has confirmed that the Japanese developer is currently working on yet another entry in the Professor Layton series which has proved so successful on DS.
The next one, for those of you have lost count, will be the sixth in the series, although only three have so far made it to UK shores. The fourth game, Professor Layton and the Specter's Flute on DS and fifth game, Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle on 3DS, are still only out in Japan with no confirmed release for the West.
Anyhow, a sixth game is underway according to a Twitter post from Hino (translated by Andriasang), although no platform was specified (we reckon 3DS would be the safe bet).
Hino made the announcement along with word that the first game in the series, Professor Layton and the Curious Village, has broke the 1 million sales mark in Japan - over four years after its February 2007 release.
