Activision hasn't given up on the Tony Hawk series, despite 2011 being the first year the series won't see a release since its inception.
That's according to the Hawkster himself, who said in an interview this week that the publisher still has a "plan" for the series.
"We're actually right in the middle of making a whole new plan right now," he told PixelatedGeek, when asked if more Tony Hawk games are in the works.
"We're going to do something probably for next year, but I can't give too much away," Hawk continued. "But definitely we're going to make new games, yes."
The last Hawk game, Tony Hawk Shred, was a "virtual no-show" at retail, selling just 3,000 copies in its debut week in the US.
Despite the disappointment of Shred, Activision's since come out on record that "Tony Hawk does really still have relevance and tremendous appeal for people."
