Alice Madness Returns will include a code allowing console players to download the original Alice game for free.
That's according to Alice overlord American McGee, who told CVG the franchise doesn't lend itself to typical perks of longevity like online multiplayer, but will boast a hefty DLC offering.
"There's also going to be pretty significant release which is the original Alice brought over to the consoles so that a person who's purchased Madness Returns gets a download code and is able to bring Alice 1 onto their console and play through the entire original game alongside playing Madness Returns."
Alice: Madness Returns got its first gameplay trailer back in March. Have a look if you haven't already.

I dug out the original PC version last night and installed it but not started to play it yet.
I might wait now and play it on the Xbox when it comes out... two games for the price of one!!

Sounds like a pretty good offer to me assuming this game is any good. It's not looking too bad at the moment. Combat seems a little generic right now but as long as it works and doesn't feel clunky then that's not really a bad thing. Will be watching this one.

I was already interested in this game with plans to purchase it, yet with the inclusion of the original game (which I wanted to play on the PC back in the 90's but didn't get around to), it only sweetens the deal.
