As above! Just looked on Amazon uk and 3d Dot Game Heroes is still £19.99. This story has no relevance to UK gamers.

Most PS3 games are region free so it is relevant.

Amazon.com wont ship games to the U.K though...Sooo this is kinda like rubbing salt in the wound no matter if they are region free

Nooooo. I ordered Demon's Souls and 3D Dot Game Heroes, then at the checkout they reminded me PlayStation games can't be shipped to the UK.

Am I not a US visitor?
Thanks for the heads up CVG.

As subsequent posts have shown you can't order from Amazon US if you are in the UK so, as I said, it isn't relevant. Sorry if I come across like a smart arse.

$15 for Demon's Souls is a fantastic deal.

Well 3D game dot heroes even with postage is only like £12 so yes this is Relevant to UK readers.

Cvg is NOT a UK gaming site.

You couldn't before, but you actually can now. I recently bought a game from the US site and had it shipped here.

Well I just tried to ship that $15 Demon's Souls to my address here in little ol' Sout London and its telling me in red letters that Amazon.com can't ship to my address. I suspect its the same for all the titles. So this story is pointless if you're a UK resident perhaps.
And that's a bloody shame cos some good deals there.

You CAN order items from Amazon's different regional websites IF you find a distributor that is independent AND ships internationally. True, such operators set their own prices. Sometimes they're better than Amazon's. Sometimes they're higher.
Charlie Bell on 20 Apr '11 said:
Apologies. Mine was recent and definitely worked AND was dispatched from Amazon direct and not a trader, but perhaps it was due to it being a DS game...
Maybe they're concerned over region locking so they don't want people to buy it from there and later complain.
I know the PS3 works with foreign games but I believe its not as common knowledge as the DS being region-free.
Just my guess.

Speaking of region free games, quite a number of Xbox 360 games actually do function on Xbox 360s coded to different regions. It's not all of the games though, so doing some online research does pay dividends.
