Following reports from Japan this morning, a UK retail source has indicated that PSPgo production has been ceased in the UK.
That's according to respected trade mag MCV, which is reporting that retailers have received word from their suppliers "that once current PSPgo stock is sold we will not be receiving replenishments".

An SCEE spokesperson told CVG: "It is a very exciting time for PlayStation portable devices. Before the end of the year we are launching NGP, our next generation portable device, which we believe will revolutionise portable gaming.
"In the meantime, the current generation of PSPs continue to be in demand, especially since the introduction of our value for money, Essentials range of games and we will continue to meet that demand."
The digital-only handheld was previously seen to have been removed from the Japanese Sony Store games page and there's no stock listed for the device.
Fading out the handheld seemingly makes sense in light of the arrival of the Sony NGP, the new portable that got an impressive tech demo video last week.

Goodbye PSP Go. You will be missed.
Hang on, no you won't. You were overpriced and frankly rubbish. But here's hoping your big brother, the NGP will be better.

Time for me to buy one leaving it in the box and wait a few years to sell the useless bit of junk for profit me thinks.

Surely that would only work on consoles where you will still be able to obtain and play the games in the future!

From your first official promotional pictures revealing your uneven cheap glossy plastic exterior I knew you were naff. R.I.P.

I'm astonished it lasted this long to be honest, given how poorly it has been selling.

Although the 3DS is taking up my portable gaming time at the moment, I will be sad to see the PSPgo ... er, go. It's easily the most portable handheld I own and I personally was won over by the asthetics of it. Sadly there was just too much going against it. Although I'll still happily keep playing mine, well until NGP that is.

I wonder how long it will be before someone points to japanese sales figures stating theres still life in the old dog yet?
Barring Japan the PSP has been dead for years. If Sony had really wanted the Go to sell they A, would have released it at a sensible price. B, Had a bigger fanfare for its launch than the tired advertising campaign it had, C, make sure it was easily crackable.
I know its been cracked now and ive seen second hand ones going for 80 quid but its still not appealing when you can get a PSP 100X for 50 notes...
Still at least they got a chance to do a dry run for the Experia Play eh?

I bought one six months ago. I play it all the time. Still buying games for it too. NGP will take its place but until then it's my mobile games machine of choice. I do however see its down sides .. smaller screen .. no 'hard' games .. etc.. I still luv it though.
