Atari is blowing the cobwebs off another of its super-classic games - Centipede - for a modern revival on Wii and 3DS.
The new game is titled Centipede: Infestation, a top-down shooter with tower defense mechanics, according to the publisher.
In development at WayForward, who previously developed A Boy and his Blob, the game lets you "assume the role of an orphaned teenager hero named Max as he trudges through the wasteland, fighting off giant bugs," says the blurb.
"During Max's travels he encounters a young teen named Maisy who possesses a collection of seeds that hold the secret to bringing plant life back to the wasteland," it adds, with the two characters teaming up to preserve the last of Earth's natural resources.
It'll feature 40 stages in seven environments, two-player co-op play, and for 3DS owners StreetPass functionality. There's no mention of a release date.
