GAME has confirmed to CVG that it is selling the PC version of Valve's Portal 2 early and that customers can walk in to their local store and pick up the title today - provided it has the game in stock.
The game was originally scheduled to be released tomorrow on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 but GAME has opted to put the PC version on sale early, presumably to stay competitive with Steam.
Portal 2 became available early on Valve's Steam service after players dedicated hours of time playing a bunch of Steam indie games in an effort to get Portal 2 released early, which they succeeded in doing.
Reviews of Portal 2 have been overwhelmingly positive and the numerous high review scores have seen the Valve sequel become the highest rated game of 2011 so far.
