Having put (the just delayed) Red Faction: Armageddon to bed, Volition founder and CEO Mike Kulas is leaving the company.
Stepping down after 18 years, Kulas says he has no immediate professional plans. According to the Illinois-based News-Gazette, Kulas' decision is voluntary and not triggered by any particular event, and his only plan for now is to "clear" his mind over the summer before deciding what to do next.
Kulas founded Parallax Software in 1993 with Matt Toschlog, before the company split into Volition and Outrage Entertainment.
With Red Faction done, the firm's talent is now squarely focused on its GTA challenger, Saints Row: The Third.
