Namco Bandai's stuck a rough release window on promising RPG follow-up, Dark Souls, which will be arriving in early October 2011.
The publisher also announced at its Dubai showcase this afternoon that its beefier Ace Combat instalment, Assault Horizon, will be arriving on October 11 in North America and October 14 in Europe.
Interestingly, the firm's also revealed pre-order campaigns - starting today in Europe - that will see everyone who puts their name down early for the titles receive a limited edition package for no extra cost.
The Ace Combat package will come in a steel case complete with soundtrack, notebook signed by the development team, plus a card to download an exclusive playable aircraft.
The Dark Souls pack will include the OST, making of video and a hardback art book.

I really hope that Dark Souls does come out in early October so that I can get some serious time with it before Skyrim arrives a month later.
Demon's Souls is my favourite PS3 game and I managed to put in 100 hours on Oblivion on the Xbox so to have these two released so close together is both a dream and a nightmare.
Will keep me busy into the new year though (I don't get as much console time as I used to)

Here's hoping they do a collectors edition for Dark Souls here in America.

Does anybody know where you 'put your name down' for these? does it just mean pre-ordering them from a shop?. As i would like the extra stuff from both these games
