Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D hits Europe in July

Nintendo to distribute Capcom's 3DS title

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries will launch in Europe in July, having already been nailed down for a June release in Japan.

The Capcom-developed 3DS game will be distributed by Nintendo, the platform holder announced today.

Here's the official blurb: "For the first time Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D delivers the intense Mercenaries gameplay experience on a handheld console.

"Featuring re-mastered stages from Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, the game is a race against time as players attempt to defeat as many enemies as possible before the countdown reaches zero."

Playable solo or in two-player co-op via network play, the game stars Resident Evil characters from past and present including Chris Redfield, Krauser, Hunk, Jill Valentine, Rebecca Chambers, Albert Wesker and Claire Redfield.

You'll be able to upgrade three skill slots from a selection of 30 skills, including improvements to weapons performance, reload speed or melee abilities.
