Kinect games to triple in number this year

Big software push planned for Xbox 360 motion control platform

Microsoft has said that the size of the Kinect games portfolio will triple by the end of the year.

While the company didn't announce any new games that will form a part of the added focus on the Xbox 360 motion control platform, it said Kinect Sports has surpassed three million sales worldwide and Dance Central 2.5 million.

Microsoft is reportedly set to rollout free virtual chat room Avatar Kinect later this month.

Earlier this week, the platform holder wrapped up a deal to acquire internet phone service Skype, which it plans to bring to Xbox 360 and Kinect.

Kinect's been out for about 6 months and it's almost 8 months until the end of the year, so I'd put my money on them tripling, that's pretty obvious.

It's not the number of games I'd be most concerned about, games for the Wii get churned out pretty fast. I'm more concerned about quality and focus on the core gamer.

Please don't tell me they're going for quantity over quality...
    Please?
    Anyone?

Yea baby 3 times more shovelware to play yay baby.

Oh and altough Child of Eden looks great imo it should be a xboxlive game as it just a casual on-rails rez sequel (imo :D) which looks trippy.

Yes, but Child Of Eden can be played with a controller. And considering the vibrations (and how awesome Rez was with it), I argue that the controller will be the superior way to play it.

So if I'm doing the math correctly, 3 multiplied by 0 equals zero right?

Kinect has no games. Games don't play themselves and aren't interactive exercise videos.
