EA's launched a new piece of concept artwork for Wake Island, one of the re-imagined maps making its way to Battlefield 3 as part of the Back to Karkand pack.
To go with the art, EA's posted an interview with the map pack's lead designer, Niklas Fegraeus, over on the Battlefield blog.
He said: "... With Battlefield: Bad Company 2, we did a lot of experimenting with DLC, and I think that we learnt a lot along the way. The goal is that any content for Battlefield 3 will be of the same quality as Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam. That means we have to start work early alongside the base game."
As previously detailed, the pack will feature four maps from Battlefield 2 - Wake Island, Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula, each re-mastered using Frostbite 2.
Completing the package are classic Battlefield 2 weapons and vehicles, unique rewards, plus new achievements and trophies.
Back to Karkand will be free for those who pre-order the limited edition of EA's shooter and available for purchase as DLC at a later date for buyers of the regular edition.
