Below is footage taken of a Japanese presentation for Square's upcoming PSP game, Final Fantasy Type-0.

The game was formerly titled Final Fantasy Agito XIII until Square announced the change in January. According to the publisher, the title has been renamed because it's not actually much like Final Fantasy XIII. It's also confirmed that it'll be the first PSP game ever to ship on TWO UMDs.
The game will finally be released this summer in Japan.

WOW!!! That looks amazing! Shame it's UK release will either be clouded by NGP launch or will never happen

Looking brilliant, this is looking like yet another gem for the PSP from Square-Enix, day one purchase for me.
While I agree it'll probably suffer from being (almost inevitability) released near the NGP I've no doubt it'll see an english release, I don't recall there being a Final Fantasy game missing out on an english release any time recently.

Yeah, Square Enix have been really good to Europe the past few years. I'm certain it'll see a release here, even though sales will likely be mediocre.
I think it looks fantastic. Reckon the combat could get a bit difficult when it's so fast paced and you're controlling the character with that damn nub, but f**k me does it look fun! The school kinda reminds me of Final Fantasy VIII. Pretty cool stuff.
Airship w/ laser canons = weapons grade winnage.
