Capcom producer Tatsuya Kitabayashi has confirmed that the demo-like Mega Man Legends 3 Prototype has been delayed.
The taster version of the upcoming Mega Man game is intended to give fans a good look at the treats in store and provide feedback to Capcom. It was due to arrive in conjunction with the eShop update for 3DS, but will sadly miss the launch.
In Kitabayashi's own words:
"The release of "Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version", which had been planned to coincide with the launch of the Nintendo eShop at the end of May [in Japan], has been delayed. It's always been our aim in the production of this game to create something that would provide a fun time for all, and from here on out, we will be maintaining this aim with a renewed desire to create a product of the highest quality. Please wait just a little longer!
"My sincere apologies go out to all who have been eagerly awaiting this game's release! It's terribly unfortunate that this announcement had to come right on the heels of the "Real Meeting" [note: this was a hands-on event to take place in Japan, which has also been delayed] delay announcement, as I know many of you are worried. But all of us here on the development team are going to continue working on this project, harder than ever. Keep cheering us on!"
