Sony confirms E3 conference live broadcast

Plus live chats with developers throughout E3

Sony has confirmed that it will be broadcasting its E3 press conference live via the official PlayStation Blog.

Sony's social media manager says the live stream - the first Sony has done - comes at the popular request of fans. As an added bonus, the blog will also be hosting live chats with select developers during E3, which takes place on June 7-9.

Sony's press conference kicks off at 5pm PST on June 6 (1am on June 7 in UK), and according to invites sent from Sony to journalists, proceedings will last a full five hours, although don't expect the show to last that long.

The word is that it'll be a conventional conference (presumably an hour or two) followed by a 'special event', which, if we're honest, probably means Sony's just stuck a party on the end.

Nevertheless, you'll want to tune in for the full lowdown on the PSP successor, NGP, which will also be covered extensively here on CVG.
