Warner has sent over a new trailer and a few screenshots for Snowblind Studios' co-operative role-playing game Lord of the Rings: War in the North.
Snowblind has described the title as "mature" and "brutal", with "innovative online, interdependent co-op play for up to three players who form their own Fellowship to fight Sauron's forces in the North".
The trailer features a mixture of gameplay footage, ranging from the usual sword-fighting to cruising around on giant eagles, as well as cinematics that lay out what's at stake in War in the North. Preview: it's the fate of Middle-Earth.
The screens (which you can see below) feature the fellowship taking on Sauron's forces, which include orcs, trolls and the aforementioned giant bird.
Snowblind showed off the game's large environments and brutal battles in a dev diary released earlier this year.

Bet they were gutted when they saw Skyrim was set in snowy climes....
Looking good though - piqued my interest for sure.

Looking good, will definitely have to read more about this to see if it's as essential as Skyrim to my collection.

Oh and FYI, the Eagles were never part of Saurons forces as stipulated in the article. They were fundamentally neutral although did help out the fellowship occasionally.
*geek-mode dis....dis...unable to disable* Uh-oh!
