Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has posted via Twitter the first picture of a playable version of Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D.
The game was present at E3 last year but only in the form of an interactive, non-playable video. It was realtime 3D, but you could only control a slight angle change on the camera, nothing else.

As you can see, map data is displayed on the lower screen, as well as a selection of weapons that can be switched between without having to pull up a separate menu - an improvement over every MGS game previous.
Kojima also notes: "I at last crossed the suspension bridge using the gyro controls," hinting either at an alternate tilt control option or certain set pieces in the game that make clever use of the tilt functionality on a case-by-case basis.
And doesn't it just look gorgeous?

I got a nasty suspicion this isnt gunna be the whole ps2 mgs3 game. But rather a remix title and in the style of one of the inferior psp titles.

I hope this is also on the NGP (without the 3D), then my decision will almost have been made for me.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: why is his 3D depth slider red?
