Here's a video interview with Hideo Kojima showing off his new Fox Engine.

The newly announced engine will power his as yet unannounced next game.

The Metal Gear man says his studio is "paving the road to go multiplatform", and given the 360 and PS3 pads on his desk we can probably expect the title to arrive on those platforms.

Footage of the engine running in real-time shows a scene with a man and horse in a sunny forest, with impressive lighting effects casting the shadows of leaves on the scenery below.

Kojima explains that this was simply a testbed for his new game and not the title itself.

This video makes Top Gear look unscripted!

    All the same, top graphics.

He says his new game will be 'transfarring' enabled, which means that this engine will probably run on the NGP as well. I really like the idea, I have to say, and the demo looks stunning. Reminds me of the forest in MGS3.
