Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders HD Collections are planned for release digitally on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, alongside retail box versions.
That's according to Konami's official website for the pair, which says just that.

The Zone of the Enders HD Collection meanwhile will release in 2012 on both Xbox 360 and PS3 with HD versions of the two PS2 games.
Both titles will include updated audio and visuals, Trophy and Achievement support, and will run at 60fps.

I'll definitely get the Boxed version. This may seem weird but I always loved the MGS2 & MGS3 box art and manuals. They really put some effort into them. It was a top notch case for a top notch game.

Really not bothered about MGS2 that game bores the s**t out of me ... way too much style over substance

TBH I'm not fussed that MGS1 isn't included in the pack, since I already have Twin Snakes on Gamecube. I'm not eager about MGS2 either. I was not impressed by that game at all. I am intrigued by MGS3 though, cus I've never actually played that one. Can someone tell me if 3 is any good and whether it might be worth considering buying the XBLA collection when it arrives just for MGS3?
Thanks

MGS3 is a brillant game. It uses camoflage for stealth and since its mostly based in the jungle it uses the survival concept really well (hunting animals for health, hiding in grass etc) It is definitely worth a play. Best checking out some gameplay videos on youtube to help make your mind up.

I'll go one further. MGS3 is one of the best games ever made....ever. For me it was the series high point. I'm buying it for 3 and Peace Walker, i never finished that because playing it on the psp for long periods felt like torture.

MGS1 please. It needs an update most of all (if you don't include the Metal Gear games which could also do with a remake). Will only be buying these HD versions if they are something special. If they are only better graphics...I won't bother (certainly not at full price anyway).
Having said that however, I'll probably cave in near release. I absolutely adore MGS3 and in reality Skyrim will probably be my biggest buffer to buying this.

MGS3 is probably one of the best games of our generation and if you haven't played it yet, you owe it to yourself to do so. Plus Peace Walker without a PSP? Yes thanks!
Ok, so can now someone explain what the f**k happened to CVG? Been off a few days, come back and now it's all red and slow...

I'll be getting this on PS3 but I'll get the Boxed version as I'd rather not wait to download the games. I am happy to see that the Xbox will be getting this too.
