EA's just confirmed that Mass Effect 3 will be released on March 6, 2012.

The sci-fi sequel was confirmed earlier this evening to support Kinect, allowing players to progress through conversation trees using voice recognition.

"With Mass Effect 3, we are delivering blockbuster action and heart-wrenching emotion on a scale that far exceeds anything we've ever done before," said Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series.

"This is an all-out galactic war and how you choose to lead and play will ultimately determine how - and if - you can save the galaxy."

Balls. It would've been out sooner if it weren't for that stupid kinect feature.

Ok, so when EXACTLY is the world supposed to end in 2012? If it's before March 6th, I'm gonna be so p**sed.

Honestly, without meaning to start a flamewar, I reckon the new multiplat focus and annalysing ME2 results on PS3 will have added a lot of time. Personally I'm ok with that, the more time they have, the more time they get to polish it so we all win :D

Yep, more time spent on it is a good ting! Although watching the demo from EA's conference it looks pretty awesome already. :D

Yup im happy if its given more time to be made even better.

The Kinect stuff looked great, i don't like Kinect at all so for me to even think about buying one showed how awesome this game looked.

I think they got that Kinect thing pretty right, they did the same with the Move too this year (prior to the bs motion tech parties for both MS and Sony  ). They need to ease them in, use them for little things that they do really well. See what the adoption is like and whether they actually work, then progress from there. Going in the right direction :)
Starting to get me interested. Show me a good strategy game utilising Kinect beautifully and I'm sold.
