PS Vita: 'More than 80 games in development'

Support strong with projects from 'virtually every publisher', says Sony

Things are looking good for Sony's new portable. Speaking during its E3 press conference moments ago, Sony confirmed that 'more than 80 titles' are in development for the PSP successor.

It went on to add that the portable is receiving strong third party support, with those titles coming from studios at 'virtually every publisher'.

It followed by running a short video of upcoming titles, some of which were:

WipEout 2048
A snooker sim
ModNation racers
Super Stardust
AR Fighter
Hot Shots Golf
Tenchu (Or something that looked a lot like it)
Virtua Tennis
Dynasty Warriors

Sony today confirmed that the handheld will be out this year, and will match Nintendo's 3DS price at $249 (249 Euros) for the base Wi-Fi-only model. A beefier 3G model will cost $299. Get all the news on Sony's PSVita announcements here.
