Nintendo has confirmed that the 3DS eShop is now live and can be accessed after a quick and hopefully painless system update.
After the update Nintendo 3DS users are able to download the internet browser and eShop, along with Pokédex 3D, an application that lets fans see Pokémon characters in 3D (surprise!)
Nintendo is also offering the NES game Excitebike re-mastered in 3D as a free download until July 7.
Also available to download are games from the 3DS Virtual Console, including Super Mario land, Alleyway and Tennis. Tennis and Alleyway cost £2.70 while Super Mario Land is £3.60. The update also includes some unannounced goodies in the form of a Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of time 3D trailer and a Dead Or Alive Dimensions trailer.

The web browser is on the bottom home screen, next to the notifications icon at the top right of the screen.
Edit:- And no, YouTube isn't able to play on it. Gutted.
