Sony has announced PlayStation 3 firmware update 3.65.
The US PlayStation blog says the new firmware "improves the operating stability of some PS3 format software, and changes the XMB item SaveData Utility (minis) to [SaveData Utility(minis/PSP)]."

Last night Sony's Jack Tretton said that the PlayStation Network is back to 90 percent activity following the infamous hacks earlier in the year.
He also apologised for the outage. Find out what else happened in the Sony conference right here.

Optional? I was forced to download it.
No big deal. Took less than a minute to update etc.

How about an update that overhauls the entire XMB? It's really starting to look a bit dated now

if they want to update they should make a more user friendly interface. all the faffing around you do just to use a ps 3 is rediculious.

Yes, on and off buttons are clearly too much for some people...here's a crayon.
How about a browser update next time, Sony.

Defo needs a updated browser, as evidenced by this site. The amount of times i have to reset the machine due to the browser freezing up nowadays is shocking. Plus half the sites don't even work properly on it.
I primarily use my Android for browsing now but those times i do have to use the PS3 the fear of it freezing up is always at the back of my mind.

So, the obvious question - we have psp minis on ps3, so does this mean the minis/psp games saves options is that they are going to enable the downloadable psp 1 games to be played on ps3 ?
