Here's something you didn't expect: there's a new Top Gun game in the works for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Set in the present day with a brand new storyline and new wave of elite naval aviators fresh out of the Top Gun academy, the jet propelled flight combat adventure is being developed by Headstrong, a division of Kuju, and is set for release in spring 2012.

You know what's in this trailer: fighter jets, explosions, cheesy music. Go.
