E3 2011: Nintendo reveals Zelda 25th anniversary releases, video

Nintendo's detailed its plans for the Legend of Zelda series' 25th anniversary.

New Wii instalment, Skyward Sword will finally be released at the end of the year, creator Shigeru Miyamoto announced on stage at Nintendo's E3 press conference.

Zelda: Link's Awakening will be available worldwide on the Nintendo 3DS eShop today - the first Game Boy Color title to his the service.

The eShop release proceeds the handheld's first retail Zelda release, Ocarina of Time, which arrives in shops next week.

Finally, Legend of Zelda: Four Swords will be released on Nintendo DSiWare for free this September.

Nintendo also confirmed it's told hold 25th anniversary music concerts around the world this autumn. More announcements will be made at a later date, Miyamoto said.

The platform holder's also planning two music CD releases; the Ocarina of Time OST, which will be given free to those who register the 3D update on Club Nintendo, and a 25th anniversary CD.
