Nintendo's just shown off a new trailer for Mario Kart 3DS at its ongoing E3 press conference.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said the game is "tricked out like never before".

Featuring a mixture of old and new courses, the trailer showed off underwater sections where cars had rear propellers attached to them, as well as cars with hand-gliders on top soaring through the environment. We're not sure if we like where it's going yet or not.

It will also feature car customisation elements, allowing you to choose your ride, wheels and more.

The game's set to arrive in stores "this holiday season". More as soon as we get it.

What are you on about CVG? FINALLY Nintendo have the balls to take on the infamous Diddy Kong Racing (n64 version not the pathetic DS port) and win - looks stunning. This has shot right to the top of my must have list!

I really like the look of that. Not sure what the gliding bits add but the underwater stuff looks great.

Are the coins on the track a return to collecting coins to increase your speed like the SNES version?!
