E3 2011: Sony PS Vita hands-on video from E3 show floor

Have a gander at Sony's handheld

See all of CVG's E3 2011 coverage

Sony finally confirmed the name of its new handheld as PS Vita on Monday night in L.A at E3 2011 - and now we've got our grubby mits all over it.

Move your eyes downwards and former-Official PlayStation Magazine overlord (so he knows his Sony) Tim Clark will walk you through the hardware, Virtua Tennis 4 and the money shot, Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

Sony's powerful new handheld had its big coming out party at Sony's E3 press conference earlier this week. The handheld was officially renamed the PlayStation Vita and games such as LittleBigPlanet and Uncharted were shown running on the system.

Sony has confirmed a $249/E249 price for the Wi-Fi enabled SKU, with the 3G premier model coming in around $50 dearer.

Sorry.... you say that the 3G model is around $50 CHEAPER. Surely that's an error. I just bought my wife a Kindle and the 3G model is significantly dearer than the wi-fi only model.

This was brilliant at Sony's show, looking forwards to a more solid "this is where we are" nearer to launch :)

Im quite impressed by this. The graphics looks very good for a hand held. Looks a million times better than the 3DS, and comes without a headache, so its thumbs up from me

    Looking very impressive etc, etc..

Don't know about anyone else, but the more beautiful the screen on any of these touch devices, the less inclined i am to use them they way they have been designed.. in fear of the inevitable scratches, blemishes & deterioration of responsiveness that continued use will undoubtedly bring, which probably explains why i'm one of the few yet to own an i device.
Not quite sure what the solution to this would be (mind control is still probably a few generations away yet)... can't even bring myself to interact with my 3DS screen with anything more than a tickle.

I dont understand why it matters to you if you've got a hard copy of a game, or you've got DLC?? The game will be exactly the same either way. You had better become one for DLC aswell because within the next 5-10 years, its all going to be DLC and hard copies wont exist. It will be 'bye bye' to stores like 'Game' and 'Game Station'. These stores will be purely online based.
