Nintendo has lifted the lid on a new Kirby title for the Nintendo Wii, which you can see in the screenshots and trailer below.

According to its official description, Kirby Wii 'introduces new super abilities, which are activated when Kirby inhales special enemy characters".

Examples given include the 'Super Sword', which allows Kirby to "swing a giant sword and wipe out an entire screen's worth of foes". It also supports up to four players, who can play cooperatively through the game. Have a look.

Nintendo has also revealed a new Kirby game for the DS.

Yes, thank you Nintendo! This to me looks the bees knees. Forget online-play, HD resolutions and DLC, all's I want is for Nintendo to stick to that of which it does best...make fun and varied games which play a treat!

Cue everyone fighting over who gets to be Meta Knight.

I still need to buy KEY, and with other great stuff on the horizon this'll need to be really excellent before I give it the time of day.
