E3 2011: Aliens: Colonial Marines screens go bang

Sega's put out new Aliens: Colonial Marines screenshots, but just three of them.

Still they are three really good shots and show the shooter to be pretty outstanding, visually speaking at least.

Whether the stills are real-time, in-game action or taken from cinematic cut-scenes we don't know. It bodes well for the long-awaited title though.

Of course, gameplay is still going to be the all important factor, but Sega seems pretty confident.

Speaking in the "re-announcement" of Colonial Marines, Sega Europe's senior VP of marketing Gary Knight said the shooter will be "THE definitive Aliens gaming experience."

    This really needs to hurry up and get released. Now that Gearbox have finished Duke Nukem Forever they need to get everyone working on this cause if they manage to pull it off it could be the shooter of this gen. Plus it should wash the poor taste of AvP out of our mouths (it wasn't that bad but it wasn't that good either).

    There's a game that could do with a XBLA/PSN release. I can remember finishing that game in an arcade in Benidorm when i was about 15, must have spent a fortune on it. Defo would be a insta-buy for me.
