One of the coolest pieces of news to come out of Sony's E3 press conference early yesterday morning was Ken Levine's revelation that Irrational Games is making a BioShock game for PS Vita.
He didn't give any specifics away during his brief on-stage announcement, but he's told IGN the project will be an entirely new BioShock game made from scratch.

"It's a different project," said Levine. "It's its own thing being built from the ground up.
"That is going to be strange and surprising to people. I think we always want to surprise people. If I'm just saying 'here's BioShock 1 on Vita', that's something we could potentially do, but you don't need us to do that. Somebody [else] can make that happen."
Levine would only add: "It's a core game."

Wow, that's great news. To be able to play new iterations of Bioshock and Uncharted on a hand-held is really promising.
I can honestly see Vita doing very well indeed.

As long as there's good stories to tell, I'm up for more Rapture. I wonder why the screenshot is in 4:3 aspect ratio? I thought the Vita was widescreen.
