E3 2011: Simpsons creator Matt Groening loving Assassin's Creed at E3

You see some funny things on the E3 2011 show floor. There's the games, obviously - from quirky puzzlers to giant, explosive blockbusters. And, of course, there are the booth babes. More on those later.

But this year, there's also been the odd recognisable face or two. We've already spotted him-out-of-Napoleon-Dynamite, whilst Zac Efron has supposedly been swarming around the Microsoft events. We know, swoon.

But for dishevelled beardy types like us, the big celeb of this year's show in L.A is this man: Simpson's creator and all-round hero Matt Groening.

The cartoonist flew into E3 today in L.A to check out the show floor - and took some extra special time out to breathe in Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Revelations.

We heard him say good things. Ezio's coolest fan yet.
