E3 2011: Star Wars Kinect: Real gameplay from E3 show floor

See how Lucasarts' motion game really plays...

See all of CVG's E3 2011 coverage

The first footage of Star Wars Kinect arrived during Microsoft's E3 press conference on Monday.

But we've got a better, less PR and marketing friendly gameplay video taken straight from the Microsoft section of the E3 show floor. Here you can see real people playing it in the wild.

I like the implementation of Kinect in games such as Forza 4/Ghost Recon/Mass Effect 3 etc, but I predict this game is going to be fkn terrible :(

I was hoping for great things from this, but was worried that without the use of a controller for movement, it might be shocking, and it looks like thats happened.

I understand the whole, you are the controller thing, but would it be that bad to release a small navigation controller, a la the nunchuk or the ps navigation controller? would mean you could move round, and non of this on rail nonsense :(

Er... how is that any better than what Wii or Move could do? Except those have buttons for greater versatility.

This looks like an unresponsive, unimmersive mess. It's got the stench of Lucas all over it!
