Forza 4 and motorsport enthusiasts around the world can breathe a sigh of relief; the Kia Cee'd is confirmed.
Forget your Ferraris and your Aston Martins; you'll be able to take the current Top Gear reasonably priced car around the famed Top Gear track.

As you'll no doubt already know, that's not the only bit of Top Gear to feature in Forza 4. The voice of Jeremy Clarkson is also in the game with the presenter going through car specs for you in the Kinect controlled showroom.

Depends on the model in game, the 2.0L engine is rated at 140bhp, and the 1.6L at 121bhp, so with a few mods it could be as quick as a Golf or Focus.

Now that is how you do Top Gear licensing in a game.
I do like my racing games, and I do like Top Gear, so to have them both intuitively done in a game is a petrol heads dream. Can't wait for this to come out now and try and beat some of those times on the Top Gear leaderboard.

Why is this news on the PlayStation section for? I couldn't care less about Xbox 360 games that is why i only read the PlayStation section. God this site is crap.

Sorry, but if you don't care less, then avoid the article. Please, be sure to fire one of the Admin a PM telling them about it. I'm sure it will get rectified, if you point out a simple mistake. Don't complain about it in here please.

Nice. I even though i much prefer Gran Turismo, the Top Gear Test Track on it was hugely disappointing.

Feel free to use other sites then if this ones, as you keep saying, crap. Nobody's gonna stop you and nobody's gonna miss you either. And honestly that must be the most ironic name ever.
Good to see this, if the reasonably priced car is in then hopefully they're will be the reasonably priced leaderboard's as well, maybe even be highlighted on the show itself. Maybe even have the best racer from the season vs off against the stig, him in the car against a gamer in the studio.
GT5 really dropped the ball with this aspect.

We dont just want the Kia but the old reasonably priced cars too, Suzuki Liana and Chevrolet Lacetti anybody?
MightyJordan on 10 Jun '11 said:
Nice to see the Kia Cee'd's made it in. How about the previous Reasonably Priced Cars too? The Suzuki Liana, and the Chevrolet Lacetti.
Hell, go the whole hog and get the ones from the other shows in too! Get the Suzuki SX4 from the US show, the Proton Satria Neo from the Aussie version, as well as they rusty old ute that the now use!

When did they confirm that the Top Gear test track is in Forza 4? I knew Clarkson would be involved, but heard nothing about the TG test track? Any one got sources?
EDIT: Just found to confirmed on the Forza website and the Top Gear website.

He is just a little troll. Check out his post history, it is all fanboy, flame-inducing comments. He is just a sad little boy with too much free time.

Most videos that you see for it on YouTube or wherever you watch your E3 supplements, show cars racing around the Top Gear test track.

I'd hate to be the guys having to model a fully rigged and textured Jeremy Clarkson.

I'm quite excited about being able to race on the Top Gear track. Sad as it may be, I want to use all the cars from the lap time results and see if I can beat the Stig, especially with the Koenigsegg CCX
roynluc on 10 Jun '11 said:
Which Stig?

Hey don't wanna read about XBox? Then don't. Hey, don't want to contradict yourself by posting on a thread you don't care about? Use you brain. Hey also don't like this site? f**k off then and play dodge the train or something.....
roynluc on 10 Jun '11 said:
A bit much? Come on, I have already intervened, but there was no need to tell him to play with the train traffic. Besides, there's never really a train on time anyway.
I know it's annoying. I have been accused of it myself in the past and I will put my hands up to the fact. Just keep it relatively clean and non personal please.

Good shout, Mr Hun- that does sound most interesting- I used to find the pad stuff a little tedious if I'm honest. There's a lot of veeerrrry patient people out there.

Ahh, I remember back when it was trendy to dislike Jeremy Beadle for no reason other than everyone else seemed to.
I suppose when Clarkson dies people will move on to Paxman, or Irons, or my girlfriend's uncle...

at last !
this was supposed to be in GT5 but instead all we got was driving a VW van around the track

Might be fun driving the Cee'd around the TG track or not. It'll be no slower than driving a samba bus...
Can someone actually confirm the "star in a reasonably priced car" section of the Top Gear show is in FM4, otherwise I find the way the title of this article is put to be slightly misleading by its reference. People will naturally think the mode is in the game - not just the car. I'm not particularly bothered about the car, but a mode *would* be good.
If there is a "star" mode, who are the so called "stars" in the game? Will Turn 10 be running around trying to get famous people to play it, get their time and build it into the game before it launches? I'm pretty certain it won't be a good idea to take the real life "star" leaderboard and apply those times in game, they'll all be too slow. For starters, Forza 4's handling isn't realistic and the game doesn't and can't simulate all aspects of real life driving.
Worth pointing out also that the Stig puts times in for all the other cars - for the powerlap board, so the Cee'd isn't particularly relevant.
I'd rather see confirmation of dirt tracks, snow tracks, a rally mode, 24hr endurance racing, dynamic day/night and weather patterns... I mean if FM4 is actually going to COMPETE with GT5, it really ought to provide everything GT5 has.
roynluc on 12 Jun '11 said:
I'm not sure what article you read, but the way it is written, mentions nothing of 'Star in a reasonably priced car.' It merely mentions that the car will be in the game. Nowhere does the article go on about the stars that have been on Top Gear, or that the mode will be in the game. It just means that the car is in the game for you to use and no doubt to be able to post times to a leaderboard.
MrPirtniw on 12 Jun '11 said:
How do you know Forza 4's handling isn't realistic, anyway?
no game is that realistic because of the lack of G-forces and subtle bumps in the road effecting the tyres (amongst many other things)... but as far as console driving simulators go the previous games have handled pretty realistically so I fully expect Forza 4 to follow suite.
