Microsoft hasn't signed new Alan Wake project

But MS games boss would like to work with Remedy again in the future

Microsoft Game Studios boss Phil Spencer has said it hasn't given the go ahead to Remedy on any new Xbox 360 Alan Wake related projects.

In May it was reported that a new Xbox Live Arcade Alan Wake game will be subtitled Night Springs.

The rumour was followed by an image leak believed to be a linked to the XBLA title.

When asked about these reports, Spencer came across as miffed, saying he didn't think a new Alan Wake project had been signed to anyone. He admitted Alan Wake "didn't" sell as well as expected, but said he enjoyed working with the studio and would "love to work with Remedy again".

So what is Remedy up to then? Spencer's best guess was that the studio is incubating its new project and keeping it exclusively within the walls of its studio for now.

"I think the stuff they're doing now they wanted to incubate, Mattias and the team," he said.
