3DS sales have surpassed one million units in Japan.
Nintendo's latest portable took 13 weeks to hit the milestone, having launched in late February.
In comparison, the original DS hit a million sales in its fourth week, while the DS Lite and DSi took eight weeks. DSi LL took 25 weeks to hit the figure, according to sales tracker Enterbrain (via Andriasang).
Japanese 3DS sales were fairly strong through March, but PSP was the top selling platform in April and May.
In April, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said public confusion about the device was to blame for lower than expected sales.
