Here's a HUGE surprise; that Call of Duty Elite beta that Activision's hosting this summer? Yeah, it's pretty popular.
How popular? Two million sign-ups in two weeks. That's how popular. You guys just can't get enough of it, can you?

If you haven't signed up, don't worry. Amrich says two million is a small amount. "Don't be discouraged by the big number, thinking you shouldn't bother because they already have enough people - two million volunteers among 30 million Call of Duty players is a small amount. More would be even better. Once you've signed up, just watch your email inbox for an invite."
Head over here for all the info you need on the Call of Duty Elite beta and how to sign up.

Who woulda thunk!
If Activision wrote "Call of Duty" on a bottle of water, they could sell it at twice the price to these guys.

I've signed up for the Beta. I'm quite positive for the features Elite offers and with the Premium details of it still not announced, there's obviously plenty more to come.
I await the first idiot to claim people are paying for stat tracking though, there's always one.

I put so much effort into thinking of a response for this article, and the milestone that COD Elite has gotten to already, and in the end I just came to the conclusion of "Fail".

I've signed up for the beta. But there's no way I'll pay for it afterwards. I just wanna see what its about.

Isn't this beta free ? Why would anyone pay for a beta
I seriously hope people don't pay for this or alot of other games will follow.

Count me in for this. Where do I sign up?

I was going to say, it's probably down to the fact that it's free at the moment. Wait till it's a pay for service, then see how many of that 2 million sign up.

Fantastic idea, you could sell it at twice the price and sell twice as much, you could call it something witty like "call of water" or "call of duty: Modern Waterfare" And have a slogan about it being the only thing to keep you able to scream in your mic for hours and hours without your throat hurting. But it wouldn't do that it would just be tap water giving a make over and new look so people think it is different but it is actually the same thing we have seen many times before. I think we may be onto something here.

And yet you had the need to write that so you must care.
