Regular updates isn't good news, but Ridge Racer 3D fans will be pleased to know that Nintendo has released a second 3DS firmware update to fix issues with the game introduced by last week's major eShop update.
According to Nintendo, 3DS update Menu 2.1.0-3U adds "a correction for the screen freeze symptom experienced in the Ridge Racer 3D game", along with "further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments to enhance user experience".
Also, it says "You can receive automatic updates when a wireless internet connection is available. When the download is complete, you will receive a dialog on the HOME Menu detailing the steps to install the update."
That's particularly handy if updates are to become a regular occurrence on Nintendo's new handheld. If only Sony had thought of that...
Last week's huge update added the internet browser and eShop, along with free downloads of PokÚdex 3D and Excitebike (the latter only free until July 7).
