I Am Alive is... still alive

Aussie rating suggests the much delayed survival adventure is finally gearing up for release

Ubisoft's long delayed I Am Alive is still with us, showing new signs of life having been granted a classification in Australia.

The title was yesterday stamped with a 15+ age rating, suggesting it's closer than ever to actually being released, but anyone who has been following the game for the past three years will know to keep their hopes in check.

Produced by Jade Raymond and billed as a survival adventure game, I Am Alive was announced with a CG trailer in 2008.

Following a delay in 2009, I Am Alive was moved from independent studio Darkworks to Ubisoft Shanghai.

Another delay in 2010 was followed by a a complete reboot of the project.

Earlier this year reports suggested the game will now be released as a PSN and Xbox Live digital title only, with Czech site GameZin claiming that "Ubisoft does not have much of a degree of confidence" in the game.

This game had a good chance of doing well when it was announced, judging by what i've read it was ahead of the curve in the things it was doing, but now i dont see it having much of an effect since i havn't seen anything on this game in a long time.

I thought it was lost in the Animus (Subject 16 achievement in ACB was "I AM ALIVE" in morse code)

In fact maybe its all been an elaborate ploy and IAA will actually be set in the "present day" 2012 after the Templar apocalypse when Desmond finally escapes from the Animus black box - Jade's secretly been working on AC all along, the minx...
